Hey guys,
You DO NOT need any membership for importing airsoft guns (and I mean airsoft toys that shoots plastic BBs).
Airsoft guns are toys. Keep in mind the following things while ordering from abroad:
1. Ask the seller to clearly mention on the parcel that the contents are "Toy gun".
2. If it gets stuck in customs, you will have to pay import duty meant for toys at the max.
This is what I've learnt from people here who have had some success in importing airsoft guns earlier.
Regards,
Aman Thind

Re: I want to buy a Tokyo Marui Airsoft Gun
I had mailed pyramidair and got this response regarding shipping airsoft guns to India!
I have no idea if airsoft 'toys' require any permits or something!
I'll ask them, if they can label packages as toy gun or toys etc.
The part in bold is kinda scary!Pyramyd Air, LTD., ships products internationally, but many countries
have restrictions on our items. It is up to you to know the laws in
your location. Contact your customs service to get the required import
permits for the items you order. If you order an item that is
confiscated by your customs service, Pyramyd Air is not responsible
for the loss nor will it reimburse you for the cost of the impounded
products or their shipment.
To place an order, use our online system at http://www.pyramydair.com.
We will contact you by email to verify that our terms are accepted.
Once you have agreed to our terms, we will give you a final shipping cost and
a total cost for your entire order. Do not make payment until we have given you the
final total.
We can not provide you a shipping cost quote through this email.
Shipping cost is based on weight and destination. Until you place your order
the shipping cost will be determined and we will contact you by email at that point.
There may be additional fees associated with importing and inland
shipping. Shipments will be sent with either FedEx or Schenker. FedEx
shipping service will be door-to-door. Schenker shipping service will
be from our door to a local airport for air-direct service.
If the need arises, our customer service department will assist in any
shipment claims or product returns. When these situations arise please
call us first for assistance.

hay ScoutSniper and Saif, I am too with u guys.. Need help on Same topic..
What i till now know is-
One of the recent reply posts of mine said, U just need a NOC from police confirming that the guns is just a toy gun and cant be converted into real fire arms to show the MIW.. (coz thou they are toy Airsofts, they lookalike real fire arms which confuses the MIW).
Another post said, U just need Rifle club membership car, pay the duty and walk off...
And some post even said that, they just paid the duty and walked off without any hassle from MIWs..
Very Confused which is true currently.. So me too Waiting the correct process...
(MIW- Men in white Aka Custom officials)..

Re: I want to buy a Tokyo Marui Airsoft Gun
Please reply guys/experts!
What sort of permission should I take from the customs department before importing airsoft guns?
Many ppl had their airsoft gun orders stuck in customs and then finally it got released without any NRAI membership and stuff!
Still totally unclear how this all works! I'm guessing customs ppl are unsure too!
Please I need to be sure before ordering one!

Re: I want to buy a Tokyo Marui Airsoft Gun
Hi all,
Its good to know that I can get airsoft guns imported to India, at the moment I am in Wales and will finish my Degree in June after which I will return home. have been airsofting for the last 3 years and was wondering how to get my airsoft rilfes shipped home. I only own gas blow back full metal rifles so I can expect to pay an arm and a leg in customs but as long as I get them home thats all that matters.
