Hi Winnie; It's me holding the knife. I have average sized hands like most Indians. The knife and the handles are large. Like I mentioned it is a back up blade While it would be easy for soldiers in Unform to wear large fixed blades on their vests etc, carrying a large knife is not easy when in Civilian clothes.

So, In the urban context - Is it purely a Collector's Blade?

Hi Ak, yes. It's a limited edition run.

5th Post first page of the review "This is a very large purpose built folder, to be a back up blade for Military and Law Enforcement. This is not a blade like the SAK’s or the other smaller EDC Blades that you can comfortably carry around in your pocket and use it to cut fruit or open envelopes of courier parcels. Carrying knives with the idea of self defense is a stupid idea unless one is trained to defend oneself with a knife or use it offensively. Secondly carrying such a folder on person can potentially get one into trouble with the law enforcement. "

Just completed reading. Boy, that's a huge folder. Great review Moin. If there is something called a 'perfect folder for defensive use', then this is it!
Definitely a Great blade to own, irrespective of the POU.

Here's a comprehensive video review that kind of complements your review:-

Moin,

I would suggest that you buy a knife with nothing less than a 6" blade.Why a 6" blade? The importance of this is amply demonstrated by this story :wink:

the knife with which I had saved my life, are still in my possession. The knife is the ordinary butcher's "sticking" type with a six-inch blade

@WTP

Amazing first hand account of an Encounter in the wild. Many thanks for sharing the link sir. Lone Ranger in the Jungle, armed with nothing more than a butcher's Knife, with a faithful dog by his side, brutalized and dragged by a Lion, finally manages to survive and kill the Lion. What more could you ask from a shikar tale!! Deeply enjoyed reading the lengthy tale. Kudos to Harry, Bull and the horse. :cheers:

excellent pictures and research! keep it up,considering carrying a kinfe in my pocket,but the local police and the furoe it causes "he carries a knife" is akin to a negative element in the society!
