Are you sure about this? In my opinion one can take a membership and use the facility even if they don't have a license. E.g. If an existing member lends me his .22 rifle and ammo wouldn't I be able to use it? I think I would. In reality it's difficult considering ammo limits etc but AFAIK it shouldn't be a violation of range rules.
You are correct on renting a shotgun or .22 rifle - they will rent it ONLY if one has a license for that specific bore. Once i took the membership card I had to put in an application requesting renting of .22 rifles. I only did holding practice for 3 months since my DSRA membership is still pending - No ammo
Also, from what I am aware NRAI does not provide ammo at the range- only DSRA does- on saturday and sundays- and yes it is open on weekends.
It's pay and play with a min 3 months payment required.
