Hi Abhijeet,

It's perfectly legal for civilians to have NV equipment in the U.K. and is quite often used for vermin control at night. I don't think it would be permitted for game such as deer though. Am I right Grumps?

Hello chaps, thanks for a warm welcome :D nice to see you Rusty, does Rags get on here ? I still have those Corbett books he sent me. Expect an email from me soon-ish, I'm flat out at the moment working towards emigrating.

NV in England is unregulated ( for now ), the only difficulty is obtaining the mil-spec stuff from the USA, although European gear has nearly caught up in quality.

Hi Sid,

Rags is indeed on the forum. He uses the tag - Camerags.

He does not post too frequently but I will send him an e-mail with a link to this thread.

Don't worry about the e-mail, that can wait until after things have settled down. However, keep posting when time permits.

Vikram, the HRH is just an old Airgun BBS joke. ;)

Hiya Sid,

Long time no see! I don’t lurk around on I4G as much as I do on the camera forums - since I shoot with both - with a bias to the latter! Glad you liked the Corbett omnibus! If you want some writings from Kenneth Anderson, the South Indian answer to Jim Corbett, I’ll send some books over.

Thanks once again again for the RWS 52 rear sight. It won me the bronze in the open sight 10 mtr. air rifle State championships four years back.

Rags,

You may as well tell him how the rifle slipped whilst loading and hit you in the nuts.

I was dreading this one from Mack The Knife!

Side lever cocking-gunbutt on right thigh-eyes on target-pull the lever down-gun butt slips-get whacked on the ball bearings-hearing chimes in my head-change shooting stance from legs wide apart - to knock knee'd unorthodox stance- still win the bronze.

Now how about that, Sid!

Welcome to IFG Sid, we look forward to enjoying your company and learning from your knowledge and experience.

I have a Rock River AR-15 (M-4) that I got late last year, the last couple of months have been a little slow with work being very busy, and trying to spend time between my two passions (strength training, and firearms), but I am trying to not make any more excuses and get back on track, especially with summer here (I live in New Hampshire) being just around the corner.

Thanks Mack The Knife, for introducing another fine person to the IFG family.

Yay,
Naren
