Hi Ashwin,
check before you post , it is in Maharashtra not in Mumbai also search feedback from different forums as well as this. people successfully purchased from them with reasonable rates than local dealers(imported ARs as well) including shipping cost.
I did google search n i couldnt find it on map

To avoid going into a lot of explanation about domain names, here's the simple answer:

Almost all websites can be accessed with or without the www before them. For example, Google can be accessed via http://www.google.com or http://google.com, or even google.com without the http://. The http://www. portion of the domain name is usually assumed by the browser if it's not present, and the www. portion of the domain name is a formality nowadays as most domains serve webpages.

You can go to http://www.relishsports.com too. Avoiding the www. makes it look smaller and is easier to type too :)

Note:
While making payments (i.e. entering your credit card details/performing any sort of monetary transactions), make sure that the website starts with a https:// and not just http://. Most sites redirect you to a payment gateway which is https://.

What calibres are available? Or .177 only?

Dear namcmd,
I agree with you. But I asked the question because, when I tried several times in the past, the site did not open with (www.relishsports.com) . On the other hand, when I tried with only ( relishsports.com) - without preceeding "www" , the site immediately opened.

One more thing. You have been able to purchase an Air Rifle through Relishsports by providing them with copies of your shooting club membership. That is very encouraging news and congats. However, now Relishsports will not allow you to order another Air Rifle for the next 2 months ( see their blog). But, AFAIK, there is no such ban from Government side.

During these two months, they can import some more Air Rifles ( if they wish) by using your Club Membership Documents, and sell them to such persons as not having club membership - albeit with some additional charges ( premium) , or they can supply those extra ARs to such gun dealers who deal in imported ARs ( at a premium). I am not blaming them that they are doing such things. I am just pointing towards a possibility.

Do you have any system by which you can check whether they have imported only one AR through your Club Membership Documents (during the last 3 - 4 months) or have imported, say, 2 to 3 ARs , using your documents???

Regards,
Abbas

Dear Abbas,

No customs going to clear a rifle or a pistol on the same documents twice. You need fresh copies of club letter, authorization letter and reasons to import letter. So the question of misusing your documents for multiple imports is out of question.

Thanks,
AT

Also, there's a reason behind the 2-months gap. Air gun import's allowed only for club members who are serious competition shooters, and not for everyone. However, people take club membership just for the sake of importing fancy airguns.

Once a serious shooter imports a weapon, they don't keep on importing match rifles again and again in gaps of few days.

Try to import a weapon for yourself on your own, then you'll realise how it works.

Thanks,
AT

Dear tiwariarrun and namcmd,
Thanks for your valuable responses. I now feel a lot richer in terms of knowledge. As you would also agree, life is nothing but a continuous process of learning , learning and more learning.

I have had a detailed discussion with the guys managing Relish Sports. The info of help is 1. They start selling from November , all items except CO2 powered models ( as they arent able to source CO2 cartridges at this point of time). 2. One might wonder how the prices are rockbottom for the imported models ( given that eg a colt 1911 pistol is normally available at INR 40k), they have rates between 15-19k . One needs a rifle association membership to avail these benefit of these rates, for which they are likely to come up with a solution in December. Hope this helps.. Must admit the collection is fantastic..
