Thought for the day

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

You cannot arm slaves and expect them to remain slaves, nor can you disarm a free people and expect them to remain free.

Shooting sports makes a real man out of you. It is a science and an art. Every human should be exposed to it.

NCC and Army service for 1 year between High School and College must be mandatory for all Indians.

This is pretty popular and dated, but I admire these lines:
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, and die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."

A Prayer for the stressed:
Grant me the serenity to accept things I cannot change and the courage to change the things I cannot accept.
And the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I have to kill today since they got on my nerves and also help me to be careful of the toes I step on today as:
they may be connected to the to the feet I may have to kiss tomorrow.
And help me remember;
When I'm having a bad day and it seems that people are trying to wind me up, it takes 48 muscles to frown, 28 muscles to smile and only 4 to extend my arm and smack someone in the mouth
