Hi Guys,
Thanks for encouraging comments, here are the details to help yourself( well for those, who are interested) with this pellet trap. its pretty simple and effective. will cost less than Rs.600/-. following are details. see illustration given in attached picture.

This pellet trap is made from pair of wall mount bracket available to fix dinning/study table to wall. these are available in any hardware store. they comes in two sizes 9" and 15". I had used 15" brackets , the part brackets which supposed to screw to wall becomes base these are joined by two plates at bottom, so both brackets stands on base two pales are in front of brackets are fixed by spacer in them so we can slide target paper. back stop is attached at top and can swing at other end of backstop a long hing is attached which can be closed backward (this help it to fold properly) this hinge has attached with extender. this extender has part of stopper and several some hole are made so height of backstop can be adjusted and so as the pallets should fall within base of pellet trap. as even though the measurement shown in picture creates backstop angle at 45 deg. your shooting angle will change downward path of pellet after hitting back stop( I had checked backstop angle with reflecting laser from backstop) thus height adjustment of extender is kept. after using this trap I observed that it does not suit indoor shooting(as mentioned by one of ifgian I also get indoor space 5-6 meters and terrace 12 miters max.) as impact of pellet is so much that they bounce back from ground (see pic pallets trajectory) thus for indoor full front side should be covered and if needed backside as well where hinge is attached. this would not create problem in folding the pellet trap but will increase weight. I have used aluminum plates for this pellets trap these are more than 6mm thick and 1" width. there is no specific reason to use them and I had checked impact of pellets on them before using. you can use thick metal plate as backstop. I love its nice "clang" sound on impact.

The Idea was not to make "folding pellet" trap but to make good metal pellet trap(ready made available are around Rs.2500/- or more and not to my liking so decided to get one made. I had visited several grill makers around my place and to my surprise none were educated enough to understand simple drawing(not engineering drawing) so after wasting lots of time I decided to built one myself. Idea was to make good pellet trap, which can save space and can be built with ready made components and does not need much efforts. so here you are a "folding pellet trap".

Hello guys,
I was searching through net for Disposing lead pellets and I came across this write uphttp://www.babymd.net/lead.htm "LEAD PRECAUTIONS"

This write up suggest that "When shooting indoors, avoid using metallic pellet traps in living areas" so I think this makes my pellet trap for out door use only unless you make backstop that does not shatter pellets. may be using coconut fibers or similar material may help.
