advise on crosman 1377

Post by astronomy.domaine » Sat Oct 20, 2012 11:58 pm

Hi all,
Request your suggestions/advise on a Crossman 1377 multi pump air pistol.
* Whats a reasonable price for an over the counter purchase in india (Bangalore)?
* One of the dealers here offered me an asking price of 23K. Its a brand new pistol complete with packaging and works. the box mentions a max velocity of 600fps (credible??).
* I have got great feedback for the pistol in terms of performance and quality as an entry level target shooter or for general plinking. Please share your views.

I understand that going price for the weapon is <$60 in the US, however considering the draconian ordnance laws in India, custom clearance and duty etc would inflate its value.
so if one wants to bypass the complexities of import and the waiting time what would be a good price for an OTC purchase from a dealer.

Thanks

hi,
23k for the crosman 1377 !!!! i am sure your are not serious... man the thing is made of plastic and i have used it, my son had one and it broke down, and in most of the cases it cant be repaired.. its as good as its price tag of $ 60.. please import a proper air rifle. the price you are willing to pay for this crap you can import a decent springer that will last a long long time.

PS. reading your post i think you are convincing yourself to buy this thing "over the counter".

Thanks Farhan,
I had thought as much..,just wanted a second opinion from people in the know .
Being quite ignorant about air gun trends and the way prices of regular firearms (specially handguns) have bloated to such obscene levels in the last 10-15 yrs , I thought its better to get the info vetted.
I would rather wait for an RA membership and have it imported through 'Relish' or 'indianshooting.'

cheers

If you are a rifle association member, why pay someone else anything extra? Just order online yourself, there is enough information on the forum of how to go about it. Rest it's your dime...
