There should be more restrictions on legal gun owners and we should create more laws. And ban on hunting and ban on ammo and ban on importing better firearms for new sport shooters Because it's Gov'ment's job to keep all of you safe and sound.

I apologize for my words in advance.
Such low life rascals should be disbarred from public office for life.
They make a mockery of and insult our venerable democratic institutions!
A sad and sorry state of affairs!

What most people don't realise is that the myriad restrictions on gun ownership NEVER affect these sort of "self entitled" rogues that pass for political "leaders" these days! If anything, the current restrictions that take guns out of the hands of ordinary citizens serve to further EMBOLDEN them (as they need not fear any retaliation)!!

Cheers!

Imagine his surprise if the toll booth attendant had taken out his handgun in self defence. The scenario a free india should find realistic, not hilarious!

Friends let me share a little story. There is a Congress leader, a rather prominent one, who used to be (perhaps still is) a corporation councillor in central Kolkata who still holds on to his licenced revolver although, about 25 years ago, he accidentally pulled the trigger of a loaded .25 pistol and caused the death of a lady councillor of the same party. The pistol belonged to the victim who enthusiastically wanted to show the weapon to her party colleague when he came down to her home for a cup of tea. The news was widely published but nothing happened to the man. The police did not even revoke his licence for causing man slaughter "unintentionally" as the man claimed.
It is a different matter though that the man's son is a big time goon and used to win college elections by hurling bombs. He too, I am told owns a licenced revolver like his father. Both, I was told, cited their VIP status and "risk to life" as reasons to own weapons.

This is India...

Cheers

TC

Well... what if a good samaritan in a nearby car thought this was a hold up and decided to 'defend' the toll booth attendants with a licensed firearms?

Yes Tc, Thats what our India is,

Hammerhead, dont you think if, the restricitons as your have written, if at all comes, than our RKBA could
be into more introuble, will kill spirit of sports shooter too. and as you might aware the quota of ammo has already reduced to almost half, plus the exorbitant price being charged by our esteemd Gun/ammo sellers! We all aware that at the end nothing happens to these kind of a persons simply because thay are party (rulling or opposition). all will be covered at the end after some days. and would sound like a fairy tale.

There should be strigent laws and its proper implimention (both for common & what so ever) for this kind of a violators, who indeed cause harm to the spirit/moral of RKBA.

Wats is meant by threatning with a firearm? Whether the firearm should be loaded or pointed in particular way at the time when the threat is carried out or is it that a guy is just wielding a firearm? Wielding like a stick could probably hints that the person is a untrained civilian or could be becoz he never intended to use the firearm for the purpose it is meant or it was a stick with gun like appearence.

It was just becoz he had access to a stick like thing doesnt mean that he should be booked under arms act. In a country like indian its also strange that a powerfull MP uses a hockey butt gun..most probably jammu made stuff.....All said and done most of the time since criminal have entered politics in a big way they have not forget the bascis that is leading by example... (This could have very well done by any of his sidekicks)..

All said poor man is now being penalized for threatning with a gun like thing which media as well cops are calling RIFLE.

Cheers
Biren

My sincere apologies for making light of the netaji's predicament. I'm planning on writing to him for 'sifarish' for my license so that we can educate toll both attendants together :)
