Hi,

The price is on the higher side.

What exactly is being referred to here as "mint condition"? Normally it means that the gun is in the same condition as it came from the factory, without a single shot having been fired from it.

Considering that shotguns are "working guns" and that this is probably 40-60 years old (if not older) - don't you think that it seems a bit hard to digest?

Cheers!

SXS with 32" barrels? Is it a hammer gun or hammerless? If it is a hammer gun, the price looks rather steep.Could be a wild-fowler or a live-pigeon gun. Any idea what model it is? Is it possible for you to post a few pics? Thank you.

MS,

Have you actually seen and handled the gun or are you merely going by the dealer's description? Most dealers in India praise their wares to the skies.

Caveat emptor! Let the buyer beware.

hi,

one of my uncles had one in very good condition, he sold it for 65 k. hammerless sxs.. in dealers lingo it was also in mint condition along with the wooden box that came with it.. only thing i didnt like about it was the safety, when u load it you had to manually engage the safety that was located on the side.

the price is steep!

Must have been a Facile Princeps action.

This pic is from the Holt's website. Cost a good bit of money as these were in a higher grade.

Yeah .... well ..... quite a lot of Greeners had Greener crossbolt safeties ........
Greeners made guns in many different grades and an ordinary, plain gun will only have a fraction of the value of a high grade gun.
The value of a gun is in it`s quality and it`s name. Has the gun got good figured wood ? Does it have fine engraving with dense coverage ? Does it have chiselled fences ? Does it have engraved wedges on the barrels ? Does it have any gold inlay ? Is it in fine, original condition ? Are the barrels free of pits ?
To just ask if a Greener is worth 100k without indicating the model, action, grade and condition is expecting an answer to an impossible question.
