You got to be serious. If I put holes in our walls, I be reading Vastu books outside the house. .
I mean how many guns you can legally put on a single wall, I mean Vastucally - Haji

Great reading. Thanks Mack The Knife.
I have now removed the bolts and have put the rudraksh beads in both the chambers of the old shotty.
Cheers.
By the way, also read the 19th shloka of the 2 chapter.
Interesting reading!

Re: Guns and Vastu
As a former student of the late Prof. Jeejeebhouy of the old Deccan College, Poona University; I am compelled to intervene.
The late Prof. J was the world's foremost expert on all things Vastu. He also liked shooting things and blowing things up, thus making him the last word on the subject under discussion. He was also a practicing Parsee in a skull cap, but that is entirely besides the point.
The Prof's Magnum Opus ("On Bundooks - a Geomagnetic Study with Historical Antecedents" ) went mysteriously missing just before his untimely end (he went out with a huge bang and the expending of large quantities of heavy ordinance, but that's another story).
The manuscript was never traced and the closest thing to a witness (found in an alley with a finely honed blade, with expertly beveled edges, stuck between his ribs) had these recorded last words "Someone creeping round the corner. Could that someone perhaps, perchance be........"
Now ladies and gentlemen of the jury. I don't think I am off the mark in thinking that this "Mac The Knife" fella had something to do with these dastardly happenings.
1) He is new to this forum and has never posted an introduction
2) He is quoting verbatim from the late Prof J's book ( I had the honour of seeing parts of the handwritten draft).
May I ask our august moderators to seize themselves of this matter and investigate this matter most thoroughly.
I have taken the necessary precaution of purchasing one second hand dagger proof coat which I wear constantly.
I await your advice, feedback and suggestions with baited breath.
much regards,
"one who is terrified"

Re: Guns and Vastu
Ladies and gentlemen of the forum, I have no idea about vastu but if it has some scientific basis then surely it can be a matter of understanding it better.
And on a practical note, a firearm or an edged weapon on the wall may become a source of attraction for thieves or similar people. Personally I am aware of an incident where a burglar had picked up a sword hanging on the wall to attack the occupants of the house. Therefore I would avoid decorating the walls of house with real weapons or similar objects and instead decorate only with utterly useless dummy/toy weapons only.

BowMan: I trust you have applied your mental faculties and studied the literature diligently. Mr. Tiwari and I await your public apology.
Hammerhead: What do you mean by, "You got to be serious"? You think I am some sort of bull-shit artist? Whilst you may well end up reading Vaastu books outside the house, think about all the good you will do your family by hanging your rifles all over the bloody place. Drill away for the good of your family!
Safarigent: Couldn't understand head or tail of the shloka you refer to. Care to translate? BTW, ensure that the holes in the Rudraksh beads are aligned with the longitudinal axis of the bores or you will block all that magnetic energy.
Lazybones: Jeejeebhuoy was a plagiarist of the first water and merely translated the original version into English. You have seen the hard copy and it's in Sanskrit. A subject that neither J nor I could make much off, leave alone write proficiently. So keep my name out of it or I may just decide to test the kevlar on your second-hand (cheap skate!) vest.
Goodboy_mentor: Vaastu is purely based on the science of energy fields. Whilst I appreciate your practical concerns, it is for Messrs. Tiwari, Safarigent, Brihacharan, Dr. J, etc. to decide what they want to do.
Doctor:The OP wanted to know whether hanging rifles on ones walls is good for home vastu and not which part of the house guns should be stored in. Now that you have mentioned that the western part of the house is good for firearms, that Safarigent fellow is going to start renovating his forthwith because he needs all the help he can get with his shooting.

Just remember to take those beads out before firing or you'll end up like this guy.I have now removed the bolts and have put the rudraksh beads in both the chambers of the old shotty.

xl_target: Did you really have to caution Safarigent about that? Spoil sport!
Hammerhead: It is most heartening to read of your seven bundooks. However, it's a paltry number and should pose no structural harm to your abode should you decide to enhance its Vaastu.

Re: Guns and Vastu
Mr Knife,
You are talking about Vastu energy flow but you must be careful not to go against the well established principles of Feng Shuei. You have not talked about the front door. You know the front door is extremely important in Feng Shui. I quote
Someone also mentioned kitchens. This is what Feng Shui has to say about kitchens:
If you cross the beams, ... erm.. energy, from these different disciplines, there could be some unforseen occurences that could have far reaching consequences. Please make sure that people understand that very fundamental of warnings; "don't cross the beams, erm... energy". I mean that these ancient arts are not to be trifled with by the amateur.
As Dr. Venkman (or was it Brady? Well, never mind) puts it, you are nine times more likely to be shot by a gun in your own house if the beams ..erm.. energy are crossed. If that happens, then who ya gonna call?
