Mack The Knife,
Would Deepak be going? Maybe he or someone else could help?
Thanks for the notice with the IFG URL. I hope we get some aprticipation from interested shooters - with the huge number of Coorgi shooting enthusiasts in Karnataka we should have some people who join up.
Thanks again,
Mehul

Would just like to report that my ghoda (yes, that's an O between H and A) has finally come good and this despite many odds such as discrimination from two officials, lack and sharing of equipment, pettiness from some senior shooters and so and so forth.
Today, Deepak Kumar Mishra, was within a whisker of getting the gold in the Free Rifle 50 metre prone event but had to settle for the silver by just three points.
What is especially noteworthy, is that he has achieved this within one year of starting this discipline and that too against the best in the state, many of whom are senior national level shooters.
Keep it up Deepak! Ignore the nastiness and pettiness and get even by beating those sons of bitches who have no clue about what sportsmanship means.
Well done, young man! I am very happy for you.

Congratulations Deepak,
It is always a time for celebration when one of our own win.
Come over to the US soon - you will be more than welcome over here and won;t have to worry about pettiness. Also, we'll be able to drag Mack The Knife to come over here or get him to move to Canada.
Cheers and congrats again.

Thank you verymuch Mr. Mehul & Mack The Knife,
I had taken part in 4 events.
1. Free Rifle 50 Mtrs prone & same for team (284/300 bronze & silver)
2. Free Rifle 50 Mtrs 3P & same for Team (234/300 bad one... silver for team)
Actually for Free Rifle 50 Mtrs prone I got 284 /300 and it was equal to some other shooter. So for silver we had to decide by toss and I lost that so a bronze.
Thank you for the post at IFG.
I will make you all proud with some bigger achievements. I also thank Mr Rushtam for standing by me at all my problems.
Regards
Deepak

Too late, Deepak. You had your chance.itsdkm wrote:I will make you all proud with some bigger achievements. I also thank Mr Rushtam for standing by me at all my problems.

It wouldn't have busted your balls to return my calls and sms' - 10 or 12 in total?
When I told you to put in your written protest, I did not mean hysterical wailing and shouting at one of the organisers in the presence of all and sundry. Piss poor show! If this is the way you are going to behave in future please disassociate yourself from me.

Gosh, Mack The Knife, give the lad a break. Injustice brings out extreme emotions especially when you are a victim.
Deepak,
Keep practising and I am sure that you will do extremely well.
Good luck but come to the US and shoot in more matches here. SHooting is much more fun in this country and people a lot friendlier.

Mehul,
Deepak himself told me, later, that he more or less agreed to the toss "Follow the procedure, do whatever you want.", is what he told the official when informed about the tie. I assume he was also present at the toss. In which case I fail to understand what he was whinging about.
I would still have had the same high regard for him if he had been stoic about the result, followed my instructions and had the courtesy to return my calls. I would have tried to rectify the matter by checking both participants target sheets to determine the winner this coming Sunday but there is bug*3r-all I can or want to do now.
I don't play favourites. This public dressing-down is as richly deserved as the public kudos he got earlier on in this thread.
