Some are already proud owners today of what is without any doubt, the most anticipated, world class air rifle manufactured in India. In fact if the "Made in India" was not engraved, one would think that it is an imported air rifle.

Let me not steal their thunder and I'd rather let them speak of the virtues of this historic air rifle.

Here are the models that are offered......

Orion : .22 cal sub 12ft lb
Pegasus : .177 sub 12 ft lb
Club : .177 5.5 ft lbs

THE WAIT IS OVER.........

It like a dream comes true at last I am holding air rifle which is better then imported air rifles. Two stage trigger with just 1.5 lbs trigger pull with auto safety lock, 11mm dovetail to mount scope , Cocking very smooth, Rear Sights is excellent I wish it could be Fiber Optic , front site is removable & it protect the barrels exit part ,weight is just 3.1 kg ( IHP 35 weight is 4.5 Kg) very balance gun .
Accuracy one hole group at 10 meters what else now you wants Doc has given every thing only he kept the power under 12 ft-lb

I will soon mount a scope & post the result

Symptoms of Magnumitis ?????? Please get cured as quickly as possible.......

Seriously...the emphasis is, and should be on, on accuracy not power......Did you miss the 5 shot 1 hole groups for both calibers that I mentioned.....

Wonder why the power limit is below 12FPE. Playing it safe legally? I guess they wanted to pass the 'deal wood test' maybe. Hopefully we will be able to upgrade the spring...

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Dear Mulki,
Even the "Club : .177 5.5 ft lbs" gives optimum amount of fps so that it can be used in a match. As FF pointed out had the pictures of shot grouping been posted - different match grade pellets were tested - you would have seen the one hole groups. In fact, it would have been impossible to estimate just how many pellets traveled through that single hole. The "power" in match grade AR (or AP) should be such that the pellet shot should travel in fairly straight trajectory and punch clean holes in the paper target - not crack the steel plate behind. ;-)

In any case, for whatever is done, it's always a good idea to stay within legal limits.

Down the road, hopefully as the ownership grows, we shall have many more independent reviews of the ARs with suggestions to the designer on making the pieces more magnificent. What say ?

BTW, Mods request you to think about merging the two threads the current and the "Indian made airrifle".

Some features which I really liked :

> It has an ambidextrous stock :
Both left and right handed users are gonna love it.
Lot of time and innovation has been put into it and so the catalogue reads fits like a glove.
It really does.
The stock is ultra light and its strength is designed for most rugged terrains.
Overall it feels like a carbine stock.

> About Power:
I don’t want to start a debate.
I have hardly used 12ft air rifles, have been shooting most of my air guns, at way more power.
But shooting an accurate 12ft pound is the key to it.
Its challenging, demanding and when you consistently hit the target zone.....can't ask for more....

> Accuracy :

As most of the airgun enthusiast have already spoken about one hole groups, I would like to shed some light over that too.

Tests 1 : .177 cal

The barrel was locked over the vise and 5 shot groups were fired.
The pellets used for the tests were jsb exacts and the results were one hole groups.
I am not sure about the grains but if you do the math, you will get the pellet with the right grain. (Weight)
I would say you can’t go wrong with any of the jsb's.
I am not promoting that brand, just sharing my experiences.
There would be many other accurate brands but I would talk about my experiences on the launch day.

Then we moved on to Test 2 : .22 cal

Shot 5 pellets of JSB's again and were surprised to see a scattered group of 1-2 cms.
Everybody was surprised and so was doc and the manufacturer.
So we loosened the vise and tightened the barrel for a second time, cause doc and the parent company
precihole was sure it’s not the product.

By the third shot everybody had their smile back, and as we were through
with the 5th pellet the verdict was the same one hole groupings.

Ina real world the accuracy may differ as its up to the skills of the shooter and the combination of the perfect pellet.

The test were conducted, eliminating any human error and choosing the best pellet.

Overall you folks are gonna love this air rifle as most of the moving parts are repeatable and have been cut on cnc, best materials used, more than 6 months spend in design and innovation.

Its a great package from a proven reliable company who has a great service record manufacturing barrels.
As most of you would agree that, if you have an accurate barrel and matching pellet, then most of
your shooting has already been taken care.

Wishing good luck to Doc, Precihole, and all the enthusiast who have put their time and efforts into this passion and making this dream a reality.
Regards,
Pramod P

Out at Last – World Class Indian made Air Rifle
The much talked about & awaited ‘Spring Piston – Break Barrel ‘World Class Air Rifle’ was launched this week. Exquisitely designed by Dr. Shirsat, (earlier with IHP) and manufactured by M/s. Precihole Sports, Mumbai.

The ARs come in 3 models…

1. ORION – 0.22 cal
2. PEGASUS – 0.177 cal
3. CLUB – 0.177 cal

While ORION & PEGASUS are sports grade ARs, CLUB is aimed at all those who are aspiring Match Shooters.

•Specifications

1.Ambidextrous stock made of imported synthetic material, with checkering at the pistol grip & fore-end with detachable butt pad.
2.CNC machined precision receiver & barrel.
3.Receiver machined with 11mm wide groove for Scope / Peep Sight mounting.
4.CNC machined piston with integrated adaptor + synthetic seal.
5.High quality spring with rear guide + top hat.
6.2 stage trigger with ‘automatic safety’.
7.Detachable front sight + micro adjustable rear sight.

Every component is machined with high precision tolerances on computer controlled equipment and assembled to perfection.

Excellent accuracy “Single Hole” grouping at 10 mtrs with JSB pellets. Almost equal accuracy with Master Shot 14gr export pellets.

I have tried all three models and found them to be of excellent quality.

According to the manufacturer the availability can be checked on their web-site.

Happy Shooting! :D

Yes the gun has scope rail grooves incorporated within the frame.
The groove will accept 11mm dovetail rings.
Even we dont have realistic dates, based on the discussions we
had its not gonna take more than a month or two max before it hits themarket.
