Hello all IFGians, please reply for New Air Rifle that some IFG member especially Mr. Brihacharan ji discuss about it. Is it available in Market? If yes then where I will buy this springer break barrel .22 caliber air rifle?

Getting it ready is one thing - but there are so many legal / statutory / commercial aspects to be completed before the launch. The manufacturer is busy attending to it day & night.
Folks, those of you in industry (any industry, at any level) would know what hassles there are to bring out any new product. There are multiple authorities in our country whose approval is required. FDA, Legal Metrology, SWAMPAC, FSSAI - these are just a few agencies / laws we in the Food industry require to kowtow to. I don't have experience of other industries, but I am sure they must be going through similar hassles (aka checks and balances).
Which is why India is always rated amongst the worst places in the world to start a new business.
This, being an airgun, would require even more checks and stamps and signatures. Probably a few non-official people also need to be satisfied (e.g. antis, local politicos, etc.). I don't really know, just guessing. Plus the manufacturer / designer wants to give a really world class product.... something which has never been tried in this country before. So of course the simple sourcing of such high-precision parts becomes time-consuming. Plus the training of the manpower, who in all probability, have never done anything this precise before!
Having said all that, I am finding it very difficult to hold my horse..... he's champin' at the bit, pardners!!
Cheers!

Re: Indian made airrifle
hey guys there is an important piece of info. recently i went out shopping for airguns. initially my intention was to buy
both the aimco m200 and the ihp 35 from mr. biswas of aimco enterprice. but after a chat with him i dropped the idea
of getting the ihp35 n bought only the m200, for the time being. now what he said was mind blowing. he said that he was on the verge of launching a brand new rifle which will outperform ihp in terms of both accuracy n power.
he said that most of the parts in the rifle (including the barrel n trigger, which will have a safety mechanism )
will be imported, but will be assembled here and re-branded so as to make it affordable to common gun-lovers like us.
it will be far beyond ihp in terms of performance and eventually be the best air rifle (in its category ) available in india.
now guess from which company the parts will be imported ? ITS GAMO. YES U HEARD IT RIGHT ITS GAMO according to mr. joy biswas . but what about the price ? u will get it at around rs.10,000/- n not more than that. since then i am waiting for the rifle to grace my closet as u people r. i wish it comes out today

Re: Indian made airrifle
I humbly bow down before 'brahmastra'.
An annecdote I remember which might seem a bit off-topic.
=== Flashback Begins ===
One of the US-settled-Indian-turned-Americans decided to use his expertise acquired over years in his native place in the state of Maharashtra. So one fine day the dude landed with a couple of white American engineers and experts much to the awe and "oohs" & "aahs" of the villagers and village/ district administrators. Now all the visitors were given Class A treatment at all the places; the "Americans" a bit more than the "Indian". So at one time, when the Indian sat on a relatively decent chair and was about to start the meeting with the folks, one of the officials interrupted him and asked him to give the 'decent' chair to one of the two white Americans who was sitting on a slightly off-colored chair and take that chair instead. The Indian obliged without a murmur and the administration official quipped "You should always let the Sahibs - your bosses - take the better chairs. You can stand if you have to." The American in question refused the exchange and when the Indian dude translated what the official said from Marathi to English for his benefit, both the white Americans seemed even more embarrassed. Finally the righteous white American could not take it any more - the experiences over past days must have weighed down on his conscience. He spoke - and the same Indian official translated into Marathi for the village folks - "Both of us, white Americans, that you see work for our INDIAN BOSS. We work for him. We report to him. He OWNS the company in which we work. He brought us along as his employees to work on this project for you." One can only imagine how stunned the village folks and the district administration officials would have been. It was beyond them to even comprehend that an INDIAN could own a company in the US and have White American ("foreigner") folks to work for him...

Re: Indian made airrifle
Are we talking about 2 rifles here? 1) the original cat-out-of-the-bag, reviewed by Brihacharan and Airgun_Novice, among others, and 2)the one which Brahmastra mentions, to be assembled out of Gamo parts by Mr. Joy Biswas.
Tell me someone, are we talking about one new rifle, or two of them????
