Does anyone EDC a fixed blade neck knife?

Post by jayanta mukherjee » Sat Jul 28, 2012 12:32 pm

Was wondering if anyone in the forum EDC a fixed blade neck knife. Am planning to do so just for the fun of it and have zeroed down on the Benchmade Heckler and Koch Snody designed Instigator and SOG Mini Pentagon. But am torn between the two. Any suggestions and inputs is highly solicited

Also search for knives by J Mason on bladeforums fixed blade section. He makes some of the best fixed blades I've owned.

Of your choices I'd prefer this one:
Image

It will be much more useful in doing the everyday chores you carry a knife for, and in addition looks much less threatening than the others should you ever get stopped so you have a valid argument that you are carrying a tool instead of a weapon.

Do share details and information of this adventure as things proceed :D

BTW India already has its share of the LARGE fixed blades. Both of local origins as well as others.

And I am not referring to the ones in museums. :)
