1) There are no notifications issued under Section 4 of Arms Act 1959/ Rule 19 of Arms Rules 1962 for the city of / state of . Therefore ownership of Knives is not restricted.

OR

Under Notification # issued under Section 4 of Arms Act 1959/ Rule 19 of Arms Rules 1962 for the city of / state of and ownership of knives with blade size under is not restricted.

OR

Put it any other way you want. There is no set format.

I hope I have got the sections right.

noc, should be on official letter head, should contain your name and address, should state that they have no objection and no license is needed for the knives under so and so as per the arms rules etc.

just applied for the NOC which was a battle itself went to the station they sent to sdm(sub dist mags.) office there a good fellow told me to go to dc cause these sdm does not has the power went to the dc office again found a dude who works outside who was of our kind and he helped me write a application and attach other documents gave to the ADC (asst dc) he sent to judicial section they sent to DC he again sent to ADC who took my application and said i will study your case and told me to come two days later now gonna visit him two days later

OH the ADC said if does not need a licence why do you need a NOC (even after i told him that noc need to be related to section 4 notification of arms rule 1962)

the fedex guys are gonna charge me a lot of warehouse charges even when they told me on 31 when on the challan the sign of the custom officer says 24 i mean they wasted 6 days of mine

knife....have u got your master piece from customs...As nagarifle said pls have a copy of arms act with you to show that this knife doesn't required licences. Hope u will win the battle...we all pray for you

it seems rajat was right the dc office doesnt have any notification regarding this, hence the adc is asking to contact home deptt. In a sh*t storm now !!!!!!!

The Battle is WON but the war is still ON
{Got the knives will be posting experience in the import experience thread }
however following the advice of rajat have filed RTI in my state Home Department to provide all the relevant notifications.
