.45 ACP Rifle in Enfield Action
When I first read the header, I thought it was a De Lisle Carbine. Never saw or heard about one in a full length rifle.

Re: .45 ACP Rifle in Enfield Action
..Would probably be a fun little thing if it wasn't for the paranoid PB classification.
45ACP conversions of Enfield actions are relatively easy as the cartridge base dimensions of the 303 and the 45 are pretty much identical. That's why the delsile came up with relatively little effort.
Thanks for the share vicks.

cc

Thanks for the inputs,CC.
The original link and the attached pics are of a full-length rifle chambered in the .45ACP. And not the De Lisle.I wonder what application it was intended for.Any idea?

This is really interesting... Always knew they made De Lisle carbines only for silent wet jobs..
Thanks Vikram

I`ll bet it was built by Peter Sarony in London.

A No. 1 Mk III. It has to be a conversion, as the magazine cutoff slot is visible under the bolt. I also note that the charger guide bridge is removed, and neatly. It would be interesting to see what they did to the graduations on the rear sight ladder. An interesting rifle!
