2012 National Spelling Bee Champion Snigdha Nandipati

Fourteen-year-old Snigdha Nandipati was crowned as the top speller in the nation on Thursday night at the 2012 National Spelling Bee. The San Diego teen bested 278 students who participated in this year’s contest.

XL, Indian girls ALWAYS win the US Spelling Bee. Well, at least, they almost always do. It's like the Yankees winning the World Series!

If that is so, I was not aware of it. Apparently I live a very sheltered life, at least where spelling bee;s are concerned. :)
