Re: My Fixed blades (pics heavy)
Thanx Amar and Rajat. By the way can you guys can suggest some grease or oil to apply on the surface since you can see the Kukri is getting some rust in the blades? And what is the proper way to keep and maintain them? Thanx in advance
Cheers.

I just dab some cooking oil on both sides , spread it on the blade , and brush the oil off lightly with a cloth. No rust till now.

This is by far the most economical way to keep rust off any blade. I do the same, and no rust on any blade...ethikalajax wrote:I just dab some cooking oil on both sides , spread it on the blade , and brush the oil off lightly with a cloth. No rust till now.

I used to use mustard oil as preservative but it's sticky. Now I use vegetable oil, it's not sticky as mustard oil and as good as mustard oil in preservation of metal.

Hi Jayanata; pelase clean the rust off first with some scotch brite and light oil like WD40. I wipe teh blade generously with Parachute Hair Oil, wipe the excess with cloth. Has worked for me.
The SOG Dagger is nice, how is the Fusion Dagger compared to the Daggert by SOG. This would be made in China or Taiwna I guess since this is the economical range by SOG. I've always wanted a nasty double edged dagger but till date unable to get my slimy paws on one.
Nice blades you have there.
Regards
Moin.

The SOG's whole Fusion range as you rightly said is made in China but it is well made. The blade itself is well made and keeps the retention. Though am talking about not the particular blade which I posted as it is NIB. I have used the same model of knife which my cousin owns and being impressed by it had ordered this one. But the sheat I got with this knife is crappy because the button or rather the strap is a tid smaller and the button doesnot shut. Am planning for a new sheath. Overall all I can say is that it won't let you down and neither would disappoint you. The overall balance, materials used in the knife, the robust construction design is a high in itself.
The Daggert is a far better knife to me since it is an AUS steel ( though the dagger uses the Chinese equivalent but am partial to the Japanese AUS8 steel) but when it comes to the money the Fusion own it hands down.
Well give me sometime am in double minds whether to knock it off since I am game for some tactical folders and maybe won't be needing it. Will give you the first offer.
Cheers
Jayanta
