according to my knowledge
Master shot round head is good, it gives nice grouping
Master shot Flat head for hard hitting

Hi there!
> To begin with you must come to terms with the "Idiosyncracy" of an Air Rifle - which simply means that no two ARs are similar - even though they come from the same batch of manufacture.
> So the best way to find out which Brand / Type or Weight of pellet is best suitable to your AR is to shoot a variety of pellets at a fixed target located at 10 metres.
> Study the grouping - the pellet that gives you the tightest group is the most suitable for your AR - Then stick to it.
> However in terms of availability - performance & quality - Mastershot - Exportin 14gr Round Heads serves the purpose well - It's my personal experience - I get 1/2" groups consistently at 10 metres (33ft).
> By adjusting the elevation in my micrometric rear sight I have shot 3/4" groups at 50ft.
Happy Shooting!

Master shot round head and g smith hollow point is best for IHP .22, both are easy available.

In my opinion mastershot (round headed) is best.

Thank you guys...!!

Every product is costly here in Kottayam. Samson armory @ Nagambadam sells products for almost double of MRP..
I noticed the same when i bought UTA pellets from there, they charged me @ Rs.50/- for a pack of 100 pointed. Where as the same i got for Rs.25/- from Cochin armory Eranakulam.
So it will be great if you people can post the price per pack ( 100/500 ), from the replies i got i will go for G-smith & Master shot for sure...!!

Has anyone tried other types of Mastershot pellets(not the export quality). How good are they?

Yes, i tried normal Mastershot pellets both pointed and round head.. If you are looking forward for indoor target practice, they both will give you better result. But out door target practice will not be supported by those pellets as they will just fly after some distance..
G-smith pellets are also good but costly.. but still i prefer normal quality DIANA SHOT pointed .22 pellets, it is the best by finishing, weight & cost. It gives me nice grouping in 20 to 45 meters..

First tell us which is your toy..?

Nothing more to say about IHP..ha ha..its the best target finder.. And upto 25 meters g-smith pellets hits hard and on the dot.. Still DIANA SHOT pointed is my favourite choice..
Please post your second toy's picture.. "Amy", how do you rate its accuracy and range..?

Its Amy mod 35. Its accurate and reasonably powerful. It had some problem with it's piston shear and trigger unit, which I got rid of... Since then its doing quite well.. Here are some pics http://www.indiansforguns.com/viewtopic ... 73#p155273

These are the pellets i tried both in my IHP & AK..
Pellets01.jpg
Sorry i have nothing left in my Master Shot pellet section.. Actually i am not interested to use any other pellets as long as DIANA SHOT is available..!!
For your information ( my personal experience only.. you may/may not consider )
1.UTA is the most worst pellets i have ever used.. ( low weight, poor finishing, poor quality )
2.POWER SHOT can be rated bit more good than UTA..( low weight, average finishing, poor quality )
3.TARGET SHOT is different from those two but poor quality ( Average weight, average finish, average quality )
4.MODERN SHOT is of perfect weight with average quality but poor finishing
5.MARVELLOUS SHOT ( Its of good quality, good finishing & perfect weight but its tail is of bigger radius )
6.G-SMITH pellets as you know good quality, perfect finishing & heaviest among all.. ( only draw back is it compromises on longer range with INDIAN made air guns because of its weight )
7. MASTER SHOT pellets are lighter than others with good finishing and average quality.. ( preference for round head to hit longer targets only if there is no wind :) )
8. DIANA SHOT is my favourite among all good quality, perfect weight & good finishing.. ( perfect at 20-45 meters )
i had tried pointed & round head only of all these pellets
