Maybe Coast Guards recruits till 38. Maybe.
I am saying this because I met a person in Metro. He was in army through TES, later went to coast guards.

Your profile says 18. You do manage to write English well, and seem to be passionate about stuff you care about..
So why not?
Did you drop out or what you are just trolling about your age?
Or if you couldn't score 70+..
Army would have been the best option for you to enjoy your passion though
But you are still only 18, and have a lot of time to become what you want...

If you are 18, you must give it!
If you have PCM, and passed 12th.
SSB will change your outlook. And you can have another chance in TES 29.

Re: Indian Army TES 10+2 -28
Dear ribaalber,
I have scored enough marks (I guess) in my academic years but I situation is very complicated.
Here in Assam, we don't have high school till 12th grade. We get out at 16 years and the +2 years are called Higher Secondary and studied in colleges. The government is integrating 11th and 12th grade in high school but it's still not fully implanted.
The subjects we had in school is different, we had science (25 marks biology and 75 marks physics and chemistry) The lessons were mixed together and we didn't get individual marks in physics chemistry and biology, I scored over 70% in science. We also had social science, English and Assamese (MIL) and a elective subject, where you'll have to take either advanced mathematics or Hindi. I had advanced mathematics and scored good marks there too.
For the reasons mentioned above, my PCM can't be calculated.
Well, if you think this is complicated, wait, the spaghetti is yet to be rolled completely. Since it's very hard to get admission in a reputed college in science stream with less than 85% marks in final high school exam, I was forced to study arts. I had subjects that I never understood, eh, like social science, political science (this subject makes me rage when I study Indian politics), Education (Never really understood anything, just wrote what I remembered), Economics (Our economics book had more mistakes than any book I've ever read, that includes every example solution of mathematical problems), Social Science, English (The only subject I liked) and Assamese.
I couldn't perform well in exam and result will be out on Saturday, 26th of May. IDK what would be the result but I'm anticipating a fail.
That's how my spaghetti rolls.

Re: Indian Army TES 10+2 -28
TA requires a consent form from the employers, saying that my salary will be continued even if I go for extended periods on TA duty. Needless to say, the HR guys threw it out! IMHO, very few pvt sector company will ever sign this kind of undertaking, hence making even TA impossible for people who couldn't join Armed forces (I wear rather thick glasses).
Cheers!
