Finally I made a Ballistic Chronograph which I wants to make for a long time
Due to some personal problem not able to give time for this project
As I already mention in my earlier post this is not my original IDEA
Inpired by an article “Build A Ballistic Chronograph” By David Collins a Nuts & Volts Magazine (June 2009 Page Number 36-40) I made this chronograph to measure the speed of pellets of my air rifle with some small changes in original design
Some specification
1) It have sensor area 2.5 in X 5 in with two infrared light screen
With 2.5 X 5 in sensing area I get the flexibility & by using infrared light screen i can
use it in indoor or even in dark area also.(Original Design has 8 X 10 in sensing area with three screens but for
me it is not working so I made two smaller screens)
2) Distance between the two sereens is 1 feet
3) Big Display with Backlight for better vision
4)Display “ERROR” if only first screen detect the pellets & second miss it
5)Visual indication of a detected pulse so you know which screen has detected the pellets
Other fetchers like storing shots per series, sending data to pc are in process
As you can see in video I am getting the reading 647,662 & 633 Fps for master shot round head .177 with my IHP 35
