I am also amazed that few of our moderators have not written a single comment on this thread. I also posted these pics just in sake of of proving my self, cause talking without showing the pics people can think that i am lieying.

Pictures are shared to treasure a time gone by, to relive some private moments with friends. The charm is lost if they are used as a tool of one-up-man-ship particularly to substantiate a recent bragging. Moderators are too smart for that kind of lark.

But the pain is very evident .. isn't it ?

Danish,
am a bit new to digital photography, but the engraving on the shotgun is pretty much obscured by the flash. What I do is , keep the cover of a big bread box under the metallic object .Kind of helps absorb some of the major light/dazzle.Even better if its white/opaque plastic...
Can you try it out and post your best result? or re try with good, early morning sunlight

Clicking pics in the sunlight will give the best results.. but i took them during night and in the room so the engraving has not come up so clearly... but now i can't click more pics as i have returned to allahabad just now.

Danish posted pictures of very fine guns.

There was a Boss, Gibbs, H J Hussey, Charles Lanchaster and an Army & Navy Sidelock and a John Manton Box Lock.

But the gun that attracted maximum attention was Farooq Bhai's Khairuddin & SOns O/U which is only a fair gun, neither good nor bad and unreliable. It heats up on shooting 6 to 8 cartridges and these days the lower ( under ) barrel does not fire.

It is not the original condition. THis gun was upgraded in looks by a Gun Smith called Anisur Rehman in Dehra Doon. The price at which it changed hands 7 to 8 years ago in exchange for a WIn Model 70 .270 was Rs. 60,000 odd.

I would suggest forget about it. THink of acquireing better O/U guns like Berreta, Browning, Perrazi which really shoot well.
