So many times, it happens too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive
It's the eye of the tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge
Of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all with the

I know. What I suggest it simply post the source, that is the website link you took them from, in your post. That removes any copyrights violation on your part.

sulfur can be bought at pharmacy, just say you have a skin rash.
I'd like to know what are the laws of India regarding black powder.

One of the links addresses a gentleman who is hell bent on getting an Arms License legally, however tough it may be but, he is equally determined on getting ammo unlawfully!!
This guy apparently could take up the licence-fuss but could not stand the more annoying ammo quota restrictions!

goodboy_mentor wrote:It is a very practical reply by police. Availability of illegal guns is far more common and widespread than believed by some. One of the major, yes a major reason is the artificially inflated high prices of legal guns, time consuming and difficulty in getting arms license. All this makes legal firearms unaffordable and impractical for common people to buy for self defense. Thus they are indirectly pushed by government into buying illegal firearms for self defense. In my experience.
After a month ago , After practiceing my shooting in our ground when i comeback my home alone with my airgun , a biker stop his bike & said me , you are useing a unreal (nakli ) one , but i am a real one. suddenly he widing up his t-shirt & show me his 9mm pistol which was insert in his jeans tightly..

Priyan,
Thanks for looking out for me mate.
Discussing what is open knowledge is no crime. Is it a crime if we talk about how terrorists get into jammu and kashmir? It is not. Is it a crime when we discuss that politicians are corrupt and they have done this and that?
Illegal arms are a danger to society and indirectly a danger to legitimate gun owners because they are used for nefarious purposes and the bad press gets reflected on responsible gun owning citizenry.
I am responsible citizen who has strong views on this topic and why should i not discuss it? Will sweeping it under the carpet help things?
i think, that with your attitude, your perrenial question of ' when i will get to shoot a gun?'(sic), will remain a dream.
Its because of guys like you that the authorities are able to take citizens for granted.
Dont be like this.
Stand up to bullying and fight for your rights.
I dont do anything illegal, if the police come, i shall laugh in their faces and open my house.
And laugh when they are on their way out.
So thats that.
But what about you?
Have you ever read the arms act? Do you know that it is written that the state has to issue a shotgun
Iicense to you if you dont have any criminal cases against you?
If you have read so, then get a fire arm for yourself.
What are you waiting for?
Afraid of a denial?
I was denied too.
I fought back.
What will you do?
Thanks for looking out for me mate.

Dear Safarigent,
I know freedom of speech is a fundamental right here. Speaking of fundamental right, they say those are influenced by the bill of rights of the US constitution. I say, where's the second amendment?
Theoretically you are right about discussion of anything is legal since we have the freedom of speech. But in practice, they are not as good as in USA where you can publish books about how to convert semi-auto firearms to full-auto or even how to make a bomb or even how to murder someone. Take Paladin Press for example, they have been doing this for years. Imagine what would have happened if an Indian publishing company did it.
Speaking of our babus' "I don't give a damn" mentality I guess you have already experienced enough of it during your quest for a shotgun license.
The cops will search your house and even raid it if needed, after that you'll have a hard time convincing your pesky neighbors that you did nothing wrong, some will even try to stay away from you thinking you are the next Tony Montana or something like that. Also some people get together, they are worse than a sewing circle. I have this experience, I was taken into custody once just for being at the 'wrong' place at 'wrong' time and even after I was released without being charged, some people still think I'm a criminal.
Talking about my signature, actually my dream fulfilled long time ago, since according to our babus airsoft are 'real' gun
Dear rraju2805,
Thanks for your advice but I don't like to stay with people too much. I like to stay alone and focus my mind on important things instead of wasting time partying or going out.
PS: I had to type this message 3 times because the power keeps going off before I could hit the 'post' button.

If you think you have freedom of speech in India, you are sadly mistaken. Read http://www.thehindu.com/opinion/lead/article3391109.ece for a brief idea of the colonial laws that are still in force and restrict everyone's freedom of speech & expression!

Ah, man wasn't in the mood to crap bricks. I always wondered, why we still use laws made by British when we have our constitution for 60 years. AFAIK the Explosive Act of 1825 was from the colonial era that still in force.mundaire wrote:If you think you have freedom of speech in India, you are sadly mistaken. Can people be prosecuted under those laws now? I'm deeply confused because the defendant was not prosecuted under Section 377 which is from British era in Aruna Shanbaug case.

Priyan,
Once again, cowing down is not living.
Whatever the influence our constitution does guarantee us some rights. As gbm will point out, the rkba is enshrined in them. Courts are recognizing that every day. What more do you want?
While police brutality is a fact of life, so are people who resist and fight back and take them to court.
And if you are so bothered about what people think than it will be a bit difficult to sail through life.
Mate, i have no axe to grind with you. What you think and believe is purely your business, when you try to persuade some one else on a public forum to act like that, thats when i object.
I wont be replying anymore on this thread.
Thanks

Re: How are people using desi katta's able to get ammo
What you are saying is very true. A part of the large blame can go to our sometimes practically brainless or spineless judiciary. If one wants to get an idea of difference, then US Supreme court ruling in clearly vulgar language to highlight the importance and sanctity of the Freedom of Speech and Expression in City of Charleston v. The Kanawha Players is worth reading. If you think you have freedom of speech in India, you are sadly mistaken.
