I meant uploading this type of pictures is not safe. Also is it just me or the bore of the 1911 looks smaller. Is it a Star B?

i just want to highlight the importance of giving ligal arms licence for civilian ..

Now , there are approx 50,000 illigeal weapons in bengal.
Some of them are use in crime & some of them are for political use & some of them are use for selfdefence .

It is very eassy to collect a firearms in bengal , home delivary is also avilable . even school students are carrying firearms ..

The criminals are now use 9mm pistol..

In barasat infront of DM & SP bunglow , a criminal ran away open firing with 9mm pistol at afternn.

In kasba (kolkata) two snatcher shoot a woman in afternn when she resisted to snatching her golden neckless.

In barazar ( only 5 min walk from lalbazar , headquater of kolkata police ) murderous shoot a people in daylight.

Robery & stanching becomes a daily event..
Today in baruipur , the people caught 3 bankrobers with firearms & 6 lack rupee after decoating in a co-operative bank. & the coward beat him so badly than 1 of those died in spot & other 2 are in serious condition.

In my experience.
After a month ago , After practiceing my shooting in our ground when i comeback my home alone with my airgun , a biker stop his bike & said me , brother you are useing a unreal (nakli ) one , but i am using a real one. suddenly he widing up his t-shirt & show me his 9mm pistol which was insert in his jeans tightly..

After this when i infrom a police , they say it is a negligible matter please forget it. .

What you said is very near to reality, I have seen same practice in Azamgarh, from where I originally belong to.
Even our farm land workers have these thing , infact each and everyhouse hold has one of these, its a common practise.
Very sorry to say, But we must refrain from posting pictures or discussing here. These things are illegal and not helping anyone., just my 2 cent.

Why are you guys so timid? Nobody is offering to sell or buy illegal guns/ammo on this thread. Instead, people are only exchanging facts. Every few years, major dailies run big spreads on the menace of illegal arms anyway.

Judging by your logic, newspapers should not report crimes for fear of "educating" people.

The pics that have been posted have been carried by magazines like India Today and Outlook and even dailies like the Times of India. So let's not get twisted up over such trivial issues.
The illegal gun is something everyone knows about and it isn't anything so sensational that the cops are going to come wearing their storm boots.

It is a very practical reply by police. Availability of illegal guns is far more common and widespread than believed by some. One of the major, yes a major reason is the artificially inflated high prices of legal guns, time consuming and difficulty in getting arms license. All this makes legal firearms unaffordable and impractical for common people to buy for self defense. Thus they are indirectly pushed by government into buying illegal firearms for self defense.

IDK if you have been to Assam last few years but I see cops really cracking up on illegal arms, I read more than 20 news of cops arresting illegal arms dealer and seizing arms. It does say that illegal arms are common but becoming harder to get. I don't know if I should be happy or angry about it lol

As the content stays legitimate we have nothing to worry.

My one suggestion would be to post a link to where the photos and text were taken. For example, the original poster posted pictures of the country weapons which are obviously taken from the press/internet. You can simply post the links along with the photos which will keep things safe, clear and legitimate.And also respect copyrights. JMHO.
