DO YOU THINK GOVERMENT WILL EVER HEAR US

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

In US there are gangs, teens are crazy drunk, racism, bad parenting, careless - people, government ,education, medical system and media. These all contributes to the fact no one follow rules. In India its different.
I'm not sure what gave you the idea that I was talking about the US. While I may live in the US, I am an Indian citizen.

Sure, the things that you say do happen but it is not ubiquitous. The people are some of the warmest and most caring that I have ever met, the Government is far less corrupt than many other countries, While you may not get a quality high school education, the college system still pulls people in from all over the globe, The medical system has some of the best hospitals and diagnostic centers in the world. Places like the Mayo Clinic are considered the best in the world. I will agree with you that a lot of the media sucks but if you know where to look, you can still get plenty of unbiased information. You really shouldn't believe everything you read. I don't know if you have ever lived in the US but in general, people here are more law abiding than most other places. Maybe that is because there are law enforcement officers everywhere. If you break the law, there is a good chance that you will get caught and that includes the politicians. The officers generally can't be bought off either. If you get caught you will have to pay the penalty. So in general, far more people follow the rules than not.

You're absolutely right that things are different in India. Your chances of getting caught are small. When people have no fear of getting caught they have no fear of breaking the law. As AK27 points out, if you regulate only the local airguns and not the foreign ones, you will not only destroy what is left of the Indian airgun industry but you will assure that only the rich will have airguns. In a democracy, which is supposed to assure equality to all its citizens, do you think it is wise to promote laws favoring only the rich?

Regulating guns to prevent crime is stupid because ONLY the law abiding will follow those regulations; criminals won't. There is an old saying that if you let the camel get his nose under the tent flap, you will soon have the entire camel in there. The process seems to work the same way with gun laws, let them make a small one once and pretty soon you will have ten new laws. Soon, you will have laws prohibiting all guns. If you don't think that can happen, you just need to read a little world history. To grow, bureaucracies have to justify their existence. The more laws they have authority to enforce, the more certain they are that their jobs will exist tomorrow. Fight every single gun law that they try to pass or your children may never get to even touch a firearm.
“Never give in, never give in, never; never; never; never – in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense” — Winston Churchill, Oct 29, 1941

On IFG, In one of the post IVhad read that the rules/restrictions related to carry an arm in British period were specifically made with the purpose of crushing/smashing down any Anti-British movement.

British govt. being a "RULER"; this decision was absolutely right from their point of view. But our today's govt......... they are RULER that they make this kind of law.

But I think today's govt still thinks in a British-way to protect themselves from public because of the ongoing corruption & scams and the culprits behind them.

NO
1. Not with the present format of the governance and the fabric.
2. Not with the form of appeal being made.

RKBA has never been an issue or a topic of debate during elections... if we can bring this issue up in around mid 2013 and make it into a hot potato by the time 2014 elections happen i think we can get the government to take favorable stand regarding RKBA
I believe in second chances… it’s called reloading
