dear FF,
Motor grease mixed with automobile mobil is much better combinaion when it comes to application on outer portion of piston and on the spring guide..you need to be careful that the oil is mixed with grease till it holds the serface, not trickle.it provides much better lubrication as the stickiness is reduced to large extent.

Hi Atanu!
1. If you want the best - then go for the Diana35 (original) - either import it from TW Chambers UK or get it from G Smith, Pune. The IHP Springs have comparatively low tensile strength & low temperence & resilience and are made to deliver around 550 to 600 fps. Good for plinking upto 40 to 45ft

2. G Smith & Cherokee Springs are good too. Our fellow IFGian Basu from Kolkata has some good experience with Cherokee.

3. Remember a new spring takes about 250 to 400 shots to settle down and provide optimum performance (fps & flbs).

4. While changing to any of the above recommended springs other than original IHP - you may have to change the 'Spring Guide' as there could be minor dimensional variations in the ID of the springs. G Smith can supply this.
Cheers

Hi Brihacharan,

I will buy the original Diana 35 from G Smith as you have recommended. Are the dimebsions of both spring the same? Also by changing this spring how much of extra fps would I gain,

While tuning your own IHP 35; .22, did you also put an Apex seal on the piston head. Does this give any improvement.

Hi Basu,

How does this formula compare with Moly grease?
