i trace the folder's outline on paper. just found out that i don't have a 2" belt. so dimensions are redone to fit a 1-3/4" belt. clearance of 1/4" is given on all sides. the backing will also form the cover. the paper cutting has been traced onto leather and cut. a 2-1/4" * 2-1/4" peice of leather is also cut. this will form the belt loop

@ kanwar...dye from USA. leather from local leather supplies shop.
4 holes at a distance of 1-3/4" from one another have been punched slats are cut out of the leather for the belt to pass through. welts have been glued on. the belt loop has been glued on to the backing. stitching will happen later.

3 layers of welts have been glued on. the basic idea was to have the pouch look like a cellphone case, thereby preventing unwanted attention to the knife. as such, the shape of the folder will not be wet formed onto the leather.
by the way, i tried out the knife holster that i had made earlier. it was quite unobtrusive, as the pictures show.
