Congratulation, two top class knives...
P.S: You seem to have gigantic ogre sized hands, the full sized Kabar looks like Kabar short in the pic you've posted.... That is one large blade
Best Regards

Thanks alot for this post, Kartik.
This will certaily boost confidence of others who want to import their dream knife.
Actually I am also dying to get few from K.C., but due to my experience during my air gun imports.
I felt that I should not increase my blood pressure as all nails are gone due to nail bitting during AG imports.
But now I see some light in the tunnel and definately take a plunge.
Was there any kind of document asked from you from the custom clearance team.
Thanks and Regards.

Great Story! Great knives. Everyone appreciates a Kabar!
Thanks for posting.
USPS is not infallible. I have had some good experiences with using their online tracking services and some horrible experiences. I once sent a registered letter and they were unable to provide me with delivery confirmation. Luckily the other party actually received the check that I sent but USPS was never able to confirm. It is after all a semi public institution and has plenty of Babu's.
UPS and Fedex are much more responsive. I think for mainly because if they mess up, they would lose their jobs unlike USPS. However, bot UPS and Fedex are much more expensive, especially for International shipments.

Importing Knives and stuff to India - Experience - Pic Heavy
So I responded to your pm and saw your post here. I have some more info on USPS - they may not scan articles at all if it is priority mail international, typically postal workers from smaller US towns don't. Fortunately my knife turned up as well yesterday.
