Indian ShotGuns with Pistol Grips

Post by Abhimanyun » Thu Mar 29, 2012 1:00 am

Thanks for the lovely posts everyone about Indian makes ranging from Himachal to Karnatka. But to clarify things more better according to layman's understanding & pocket size, i'll like some more suggestions on 12 bore shotguns.
I've seen quite a few in Indore(M.P ) market ranging from 15k- 35k ,(which i think are over priced).

  • The Pistol butt shotguns with small barrel were available from 18k - 35k from the Newlight, Modern , Visco, Rajput & Shaktiman

Newlight was priced at 25k, Rajput (REX)at 30k , Modern at 20k , Visco at 33k & shaktiman again at 30k.
Ofcourse there lies a great difference in quality & make of these companies which makes the prices vary so much. Heard by the vendors that Visco is the greatest of the lot followed by Newlight .But still wanna see some more.

So ppl give me some light on this

Abhimanyun,

A short barreled shotgun with a normal butt stock is a lot more useful than a pistol grip shotgun.Try firing more than a couple of shots from the latter and you will understand.
