Abijeet I am a life member of Madurai Rifle Club, My club is affiliated to NRAI. So does it mean that i am a member of NRAI automatically. Can i use my rifle club membership card to get ammo or weapons in Delhi after obtaining NOC.

No - not as an individual, but your club can do the same as it is affiliated to the NRAI. Even to buy a tie pin from them, you would need to show your own NRAI membership.

If you are willing to sign up as a NAGRI member, tell other people about NAGRI and its goals, etc., AND get 5 other people to sign up as NAGRI members - I'd be willing to help you out with your NRAI application.

Cheers!

Abhijit,

I have just applied for NRAI membership thru a contact who is a shooter and NRAI member. Presently I have three weapons i,e a 12 bore shotgun, .32 revolver and a .22 rifle. Can I buy a 30.06 rifle in addition to these weapons after I become a member of NRAI. Because a clerk in arms section in DM's office says there is no such rule if so I should get a copy of it and show to him other wise they can't allow me to add another rifle on my license. Can you send me any proof which says that NRAI members can have 4 weapons.

One more, knocking on your door Abhijeet,
I am from Mumbai, having license for a hand gun, member of MRA.
I want to be a member of NRAI.
I am planning to visit Delhi in 2 weeks.
Can I get some help for the recommendation by existing NRAI members?
I'll be coming with all other formalities complited and want to submit my application personally.

Regards.

I am not trying to discourage you from joining NRAI. Only curious and wanted to know when you are already member of MRA, what is the use of additional NRAI membership?

You are correct GBM,
there aren't any big advantages. But its a wish, that I have for a long time.
When I thought about it the fee was about 15000 and I faced the problem of recommendation from existing member.
Though the fee is about 25000 now, I hope I'll get some help from senior IFG members and get the membership before it reaches to 50000.
Also, I hope some day NRAI, will be doing better than what they are doing now for their members.

Regards.
PS. Looking forward for some help in this matter.
