Kindly shed some light. which of the two is a better option considering price, availability and power.

.380 are difficult to come by and are priced around Rs 400 per round where as 7.62x25 are easily available and are priced around Rs 130 a pop. Considering price, availability and power definitely 7.62x25 is a better option.

friend .380 calibre is not available down south.i rememeber a ,380 calibre revolver rotting in one of the armouries in banglore some time back.i would strongly suggest against this calibre and go for something easily available and cheap if you are regular user.
i think we had discussed this earlier some time back if i am not mistaken.

Thanks Vineet.
130 a pop(7.62x25) is affordable compared to .380 cost. And also has a lot of punch.
But TT 33 and CZ 52 pistols are hard to come by. How much do they cost? ( wrong section I know ) :?

Cheers

.380 ACP is a pistol cartridge and not a revolver round. What you saw could be a revolver chambering .38 S&W round (which is PB) or .38 special.

TT 33 and CZ 52 are priced around 7-8 lacs in Punjab.

Isnt 7.62 x 20 mm prohibited bore? My cousin just picked up or rather got one Chinese Start pistol from a quota at nominal cost. .380 on other hand isnt prohibited or Non prohibited bore . So one has to be careful between NP and Prohibited bores

best

ngrewal,

7.62/.30 tok. is in the NPB category. It would be a Chinese copy of the Tokarev. The 'Star' part attached to it while describing what pistol it is, is from the star on the grips.
