Robbed in broad daylight!!!!!!!!

Post by monty3006 » Tue Mar 27, 2007 9:52 pm

Hello everyone,
This is to inform all members that no one is safe even in broad daylight in India. My house got bugrled on the 22nd of March. My birthday. Luckily my guns were in the safe. Ammo was scattered all over the place and bedroom cupboards were broken open. My safe is actually an old fridge that is no longer working and hence I guess at first sight the crooks did not assume guns to be inside there. Did not lose my knives either. I guess I must thank god for that. Did lose some Cash and a few small silver coins and 2 mobiles. But if I had lost my guns .................. I dunno wot would have happened. 1 old camera some credit and debit cards and assorted coin collection was also lost. I'm getting a safety door installed rit now as I'm typing this out. The carpenter needs 2 be supervised.

Monish,

The same thing happened to me 5 years back.Got a burgular alarmed installed after that.It prevented a break in about a year after the first incident. The monetary part,a person gets over very quickly,it's that feeling of insecurity even when in your own house, that stays for a longer period. Sorry to hear about this.If you live in a flat,Godrej makes steel doors that should prevent a break in.Also you can get a burgular alarm installed.A basic wired one should cost you about 10-12,000/-

Sad news.
U are lucky that the robbers were not hungry or thirsty!!!!!
Take care for future.
Get one nice heavy Sliding Channel gate installed with 2-3 Godrej Locks.

Hi Monty,

I got robbed last year. Luckily they couldn't find my rifle and other stuff. I guess shit does happen to us and not that un known guy in the newspaper.

Take heart that no one was hurt or put in a do or die situation.

Regards,

Dev

Sorry to hear of this Monty! penpusher's advice is sound, get a good burglar alarm and better overall security... and count yourselves lucky that you were not at home when the criminals came!

Take care..

Cheers!
