Before you expect other more learned members to reply, do the coursey of reading through the forum atleast!!
Why should somebody waste their time if you dont atleast read the information already posted here. There are 13 pages in the rifles section and within a minute of browsing i have this selection for you

both are deadly, if you know how to shoot.
Go for the 30-06. I were you, would also go through the previous topics regarding
these rifles.

The trick is to plan on not getting shot by either!
If both guns fell out of a tall building and landed on to a flock of pigeons, each would be equally deadly.
I do not live in India and have my choice of either, and I prefer the 30-06, if that helps.
