Buying crossbow in Mumbai
Hey guys, I have been looking to buy a crossbow for a while now. Is there any place in Mumbai that I can just pick one up or would I have to go through the hassle of importing one ?
Thanks in advance

Hey thanks a lot for the quick reply. This is a good option but if possible I would like to hold and get a feel of the actual product in person before buying. So still looking for suggestions on where to buy in Mumbai

Mortis, the best option for you would be file an RTI with customs about the import procedure for crossbows and then import one from the US.. reason being, you are not going to get any good crossbows in India and even if you get one which would be in all probability an imported piece and it will be priced 2 to 3 times more then the original price
I believe in second chances… it’s called reloading

Hi Mortis, since Pune isn't all that far away from Mumbai, maybe you could take trip to GSMITH and physically check out available crossbows before deciding.

at the same time he will spend money on courier ..its not going to benefit him until he has someone to get it from there , the pistol crossbow for eg. cost around 30$ , i know it since i seen that with my own eyes and here you pay around 5000 rs for the same one ...but to order it from there and then pay courier comes to the same amount approx.spin_drift wrote:Mortis, the best option for you would be file an RTI with customs about the import procedure for crossbows and then import one from the US.. reason being, you are not going to get any good crossbows in India and even if you get one which would be in all probability an imported piece and it will be priced 2 to 3 times more then the original price

True enough and I have already had more than enough dealings with customs for simpler items to know what a hassle it is. GEtting a crossbow through would be a pain in rear.
Lets see there is a lady who used to work for customs in the building will ask her and see if she knows what to do.

I was at Gunmark last week. I always buy stuff from Mr. Kulkarni. Genuine guy... he's got a lot of such stuff in stock..may be you could just visit Pune. It'd be worth the travel.
