IOF Pistol carrying cocked and locked.

On cocking IOF Pistol and engaging safety , trigger is locked but internal hammer is not locked ,Is it safe to carry in that type , as internal hammer is in cocked position, in case if pistol is dropped and hammer falls it may result in firing and breaking locked slide.
Gunsmith in forum has posted photograph of IOF Pistol with hammer exposed ,hammer can be manually decocked on live bullet but i am not sure how safe is doing that and how safe is carrying in that type.Lots of guys have iof pistol in forum , feedback is requested

The safety blocks the sear.It stays in place with nothing more than friction.It is poorly fitted by the monkeys at IOF Cossipore.I would not carry it cocked and locked.Considering that the vast majority of Indian gun owners carry their guns without a holster and tucked into their pants,there is a possibility, that if a loaded gun comes off of the latter status , the owner will lose some of the former

I wouldn't risk myself or any one in the proximity of IOF 7.65 pistol ( with a live round in chamber)

I guess there is enough time to chamber a round, when situation arises with in a couple of seconds...than why caring a risk around
( relaying on a safety, specially with IOF product is not advisable by most of experienced fellas around)

If you feels great danger to your life, why don't you do it as described and let us know after 3-4 months how reliable that safety really is

I carry my S&W 2 Inche snubby and i love revolvers , my guards do carry iof pistol and they are doing this from more than 10 years now. Pritam this thread is posted to educate understand and share mechanism of IOF pistol for gun enthusiast and people who like to know internals ,pros and cons of pistol design and not at all concerned with threat perception to individual.

why not try it out without Chambering a round and dropping it to see what happens,

i take no responsibility [like the IOF] if gun gets damaged. experiments are made of these futile exercises.

I wouldnt trust IOF product coz unlike Browning it doesnt lock the internal mechanism, its just a mannual lock on oustside slide which stops it from moving.

Actually this is just a copy of Colt/ Browning 1910 but IOF cudnt copy it well enough

I have been carrying my IOF pistol cocked & locked for almost 8 years now, cord attached & in a proper holster, but have never found the slide lock move out of place. That aside, the fact that the internal hammer remains cocked, has got me in two minds whether to carry one in the chamber anymore.

srry to say bro but the iof.32 acp pistol is a piece of crap its not safe , very expensive , jams , faliure to feed , and not reliable u should not carry it cocked because gun safety is not a guarantee.
