HI,
I am planning to import LP10E from Euro-shooting shortly. Is the custom dept. allowing it now after the supreme court stay on Delhi high court order. Also if anyone has bought from Euro-shooting please share your experience and are there any other sites/dealers who offer Steyr at better prices. Thanks.
(Note: I have valid rifle club membership)

Gypsy,
I had contacted Steyr directly when I was kind of planning to pick up a LP10. They offered me the best price. Try writing to them.

Gypsy,
You can import the LP10 or the electronic LP10E from Styer, Their shipper will insist on a permission from DGFT which will take about three weeks to a month to process. As far as you get it shipped to Bangalore and clear it at the Cargo complex you have no issues. You say you are a member so all you need to do is produce the I.D. Card at the customs and the rest is taken care by them. If you are a member of KSRA , you can contact Malikarjun for a first hand info as he got one last Nov......... Shankar.

Hi Prabath and Shankar, as per your suggestion I went to Steyr for quote. They are offering the best price in the market, however their shipping costs are the highest thus negating the benefit. At present Euroshooting seems to be the best choice as the other vendor Scheisssport Buinger is no longer shipping to India. I am planning to make the order in a week or two and will keep you posted on the developments. Thanks for your suggestions

It's your choice where you buy your gun from? The most important part is, which shipping company they choose to deliver it. FedEx guys are the best, and they know the in and out of gun clearance. A lot of shipping companies don't take the responsibility of clearance. They would just call up, and tell you that you're gun has been detained. Companies like UPS wont even call you. You'll have to follow up 100 times.
