What is mid range power? and to have min vibes, is it not needed to mod internals to do so?
Don't have the money for imported guns...if someone can get it from the US though i'm looking at a nitropiston rifle.
One thing you must understand, that the end decision is your's...Fellow members can only let you know their perceptions about different rifles.I personally vote for an Ihp,bec it is a break barrel and it has the best barrel amongst Indian made air rifles..
Completely agree with fantum....It will take you a lot of time to shoot well enough to do justice to your rifle, especially if you buy an Imported or an Ihp....
Cheers and shoot safe

Buy .22 if you wanna shoot over long distances and break beer bottles..
Choose .177 if you wanna shoot paper targets,25 p coins or coke bottle caps...

IS it not possible to hit caps with a .22? Or is it difficult to do so? Correct me if i'm wrong, a .22 has lesser range than a .177?
I would rather hit my target gently than miss hard.

Not at all!I can hit 25 p coin with my .22 air gun from 10 yards. But in truth, for a springer .177 is always more acurate than a .22.....

A .177 will fly much further than a .22..But a .22 cal pellet will retain much more energy at longer distances than its smaller version...
Cheers

@ fps.... the general consensus seems to be- go for ihp, if you can find a good piece. I guess you are right when you say it takes a long time to max your gun's capability. SInce the purchase is a while away, let us see how things turn out by then.

If IHP is not available,
ak agni 500/550 or Canon are also good ones among indian guns.

@ Dileep....thank you for taking the time and effort to put up pics besides the thread.
I see the sights are adjustable for elevation? How good does it work? I'll get back to you after checking out the thread.

I made a call to Kovibazaar and inquired about ak agni 500. They told me that it will be available in 2 weeks, maybe 1st or 2nd week of march. They were not sure of the price but told that it would be less than ₹7000. Currently they have ak 350 in stock.
