"..40ft-pounds of energy..."!!! Renjith , you sure about that?? the dominator 1250 has the same velocity of most magnum springers. i have no knowledge of .25 pellets, but 177/ 22 i think should be around 25 to 27 ft pounds.

@mercury's point is right. Dominator makes around 1200 fps which should create around 25.59 foot pounds or 34.69 joules of energy for a 8 grain pellet. Its usually .177 for a 8 grain pellet.

@Drifter, Al Sayad has only one PCP which is the dominatior 1250 and nothing else. 99% they have only springer rifles, but they also have one model of CO2 rifle from Walther. Lets wait and see.

Fixing Fiber Optic Piece Tightly To Rear Sight Groove

This guide should be helpful for people whose fiber optic rear sight had fallen off while shooting and wants to fix the same. In case the fiber optic piece from the rear sight had fallen off, please don't panic! It can be fixed by yourself. Recently this had happened to my new Diana Panther 31 Compact rifle, so I guess most of the powerful springer rifles must be having this problem.

As @mercury had pointed out (in my one of my thread), it happens due to residue of lubricants or oil entering into the groove of the rear sight where the fiber optic piece rests. Due to the pistons powerful action in springers, the fiber optic piece might just slip out of its groove and fall off while taking a shot. Please follow the instruction given below to clean and refix the fiber optic piece into its groove. Please dont use any adhesives or super glue for fixing it.

Remove the rear sight completely from its mount with a normal sized star screw driver, as illustrated in the pictures below.

There is a extremely tiny hole which is actually a screw on the rear sight which must be loosened or unscrewed to remove the fiber optic piece from its groove.

Fixing Fiber Optic Piece Tightly To Rear Sight Groove - Continued 1

Using a tiny 6 pointed star screw driver head you can unscrew the tiny screw from the rear sight, after which you can remove the fiber optic piece from the rear sight groove.

Now you can remove the fiber optic piece from the rear sight groove. Wipe the groove that is pointed out with the screw driver, by inserting clean cotton into it. You may also use Iso-Propyl Alcohol to clean it so that it will get dried up fast, leaving the groove lubrication free.

Once your cleaning is done, put the fiber optic piece back into place and use the tiny screw to tighten it up as much as possible, please take care not to damage the screw, if the tread on its head is gone then its hard to remove the screw again. Finally put the rear sight back to the rifles mount and screw it tight.

Voila! The fiber optic piece is fixed tight now and does not fall off, until you use a lubricant spray on your rifle again.

Happy Shooting Folks, and dont forget to comment on my photographs

good update arvind; great job with the photographs.

it need not be the lube always causing the problem. some times the screw can have a loose hold..in which case you would need loctite. this could be the case in your rifle...or has the problem stopped now.

@renjith747 infact there is a power calculator in pyrmydair website, when you can enter grains of pellet and FPS to get the energy in joules or lbs.

Snipers are not good shooters?

:agree: Actual problem is not with the scope but with the hands I guess. Ones vision gets blurry when the image of the object gets too small, from a distance. Scope only helps in magnification of what one could see with bare sight. Due to the scopes magnification even slightest tremble in the hand will cause a more shaky image, so its hard to zero in on the target. Using a scope also increases the weight of the rifle, again this makes your hands more shaky.
If one could improve the fitness, or gain more strength in the hand, its best to use scope to target distant objects.
So its like if you want to shoot a nearer object, its better not to use a scope, but if you shoot a distant object scope really helps a lot. Plus combination of a scope with a bipod is unbeatable :)

one of the reasons i stopped using a scope was precisely what arvind mentions " sligtest tremble causes a shaky immage...". i am sure it can be overcome with practise, but it did not work for me.

scope used with a bench rest can give one amazing results. in springers the pro sport tx 200 and the hw 97 in that set up can give unbeatable groupings out to 100 yards.

the pro sport / 97...in my opinion...are as good as if not better than some pccs in terms of accuracy.
