Arvind , there is a groove on the sights into which the the fibre optic section sits. wipe it clean of any any lube/oil. place the fibre optic section into the groove and gently push it in till it sits flat on the sight.

should not happen, but as i mentioned in an other thread; the quality of diana is not what it used to be.

how did you remove the shroud on the front sight? in the video there is no shroud in a close up of the front sight. i notice a groove, is it detachable? the shroud on my front sight looks like a mould. do let me know.
Throw me to the wolves....I will return leading the pack.

Yea thanks for the link and the idea. But you know when you import something legally, you DO need supporting legal documents. So again, DO YOU HAVE the supporting documents?

@renjith747 the current price of Walther Umarex Dominator 1250 is AED 3350.00 without scope and additional accessories. And that's the only PCP that Al Sayad is currently having. I was trying to talk to them whether they could import Benjamin Discovery for me, since thats the most practical PCP around, but they said its not possible and they only sell the stock that comes in the container. So I am keeping my fingers crossed hoping that they might import some other PCP once their current stock of Walther is finished. I hope its a Benjamin discovery or something like that where air compression is only 2000 psi

@mercury thanks for the suggestion. I did what you said, I cleaned the groove on the rear sight into which the fiber optic fits with some tissue papers keeping it free of any lubrication or oil. I put the fiber optic back into the groove and pressed it gently and it fitted inside with a assuring "CLICK" sound. I even tried pulling it out with my fingers but it did not come out. But unfortunately the fiber optic keeps jumped off my rifle on every 3rd shot I take, irrespective of how many ever times I try cleaning and inserting the fiber optic into its place. I am thinking of using some super glue into the groove into which the fiber optic sits. Is that a good idea or will it spoil the metal :?:

:D Actually your observation was awesome. I made this video with a mixture of images that I took, along with images that I found online doing google search. But I never noticed myself that in one of the images the shroud encircling the front sights fiber optic is not present. So in fact I didn't remove the shroud or never even thought about it  hehehe! So don't try to remove it and end up breaking or damaging it.

Successfully finished one tin of pellets (250). Unfortunately my aim has not improved at all :(
In fact its gone worse after adding a scope to the rifle and making it more heavy.
 I need to start going to the gym!!!

Attached is the plinking that I had done on the empty pellet tin.

@renjith747... now you are tempting me to buy one. But I am only worried about the practicality of the gun since it cannot be hand pumped with a pressure rating of 300 bar which is about 4500 psi. I think I will hold on to my P31 until I could get my hand on a Benjamin Discovery.

Dear Aravind,

Try the HW 100 they are extremly good might be a better choice than the dominator . I remember reading in your previous post about you contemplating to buy the HW 57, I am assuming Al Syed has the HW range. Any owner of the HW 100 on the forum could throw more light on the matter.

Regards,
Drifter.

Arvind do not use super glue.

try putting in a shim, if you find that tricky, you could try loctite.

as to your accuracy ; there could be two reasons.

loose screws
barrel droop.

in powerful springers, srews will work loose frequently .....like the optic sight popping out..... locktite all screws.

as to barrel droop , follow the thread on' my new 350 magnum classic with scope". it will help.

patience my friend and all will be well. dont make moves hastily. not discouring you; pcps are great...no doubt...and i am sure you want to get the gun back with you to Chennai...; i do not know of the import legalities, but importantly you need to have gun smiths here who can fix them if things go wrong. i doubt if you can get it fixed in dubai too.

the choice of course is yours....you want it ..get it.
Throw me to the wolves....I will return leading the pack.

@ aravind, i totally agree with you the point of practicality of Dominator. Its not good for target practice in close range. It pocess nearly 40ft-pounds of energy ie 1/3rd of .22 rifle. It have an effective killing range for small games for a well placed shot in a 50m range. As u said it is very hard to fill air with hand pump.I didnt fired dominator yet, my friend got one.I fired AirForce Condor a .177 in my shooting range.....amazing rifle, extremely accurate and also tried to fill by hand pump.....very hard to pump  .For rifles like that much of power scuba tank is necessary.Any way walther dominator is a value for money thinking its price in india.
