Hunting In Minnesota
I have been busy this year, but managed a holiday around Brook Park Minnesota USA. I was hunting with a Blaser BBF97 in 9.3X74R/20 gauge. This combo gun is extremely accurate, and gives accuracy comparable to many fine bolt action rifles. I was setting in a high seat, when two yearlings happened by. I dropped the larger one with the first shot, and the second leaped about 10 meters, but made the mistake of stopping. The second barrel containing a 20 gauge, 76mm Brenneke slug quickly followed the deers error. Not trophy deer, but trophy memories. Both shots where very quick, and humane. Tonight I am dining on venison from this hunt.

That's beauty ..... I mean two for one if you are lucky enough.
Not much familiar with Blaser guns but that's Moose/Partridge combo gun if I'm not that far. I mean it's big bullet for deer but whatever put the venison on table , works . Thanks for sharing - Haji

Good Shooting!
Do you have relatives in MN? We do have some great hunting here.

Was originally from Missouri, but I lived in Mn when I was about four years old. One of my brothers was born there. We got on a house boat my father had built, and floated back down to to Missouri. We still have friends of the family in the Brook Park area, even though we have not lived there for 40+ years.xl_target wrote:Good Shooting!

My wife is from Wrenshall in Carlton County, not very far away from there.
I like that area, except there isn't much for jobs there. I've been skunked every time I hunted up there though.
We live in Southern MN right now.

Big slow bullets, accurately placed, minimize meat destruction, and blood shot venison.Hammerhead wrote:That's beauty ..... I mean two for one if you are lucky enough.
