Enquiry for .22 Hornet rifle

Hi Brothers.. My friend wants infomation regarding availability of .22 Hornet rifle in India & the going price & availability of ammunitions. Though I advocated for a .22LR or .30-06 , he is of the opinion that the RF rifle seems to be too less powerful & .30-06 is too powerful for him. It is rightly said ' Many men many minds '

Hi P,the 22 Hornet is an excellent Rifle,i had one,sold it last year,Ammo for 22 Hornet is no problem, S & B is easily available everywhere,the ammo is a little expensive,if you compare it to the 22 LR,regarding the price of the rifle,boss its your luck that counts,you are at the mercy of an A/A Dealer and from what i know they are not very merciful in quoting prices of weapons,good luck with your search.Best Amit

Thanks Amit Bhai. BTW what is the price for the ammo ? And also the going price for the rifle ? Just asking to have a rough idea.

Hi P,i had a Savage 22 Hornet,sold it to a dealer for 1.25,saw it with another dealer after 6 Months,he was asking for 1.70 for it,saw a beautiful 22 Hornet by Browning recently,the dealer was asking for 2.75 for it.regarding ammo S.Bs,i used to get them for 65 Bucks a pop,picked up some Winchester H.Ps for 125 a pop,that was about 2 years back,think you would get S.Bs for 85-100 a pop now.Best Amit
