Dummy Ammo

Post by jonahpach » Sun Jan 15, 2012 8:43 pm

Does anybody know where and how I can get dummy cartridges? Am interested in all common (Indian scenario) PB and NPB cartridges.

Jonah,
Are you looking for an ammunition display? Or are you looking for cartridges for dry firing?

Actually, I had given an advise to our home department to supply all district arms branches with dummy rounds of most common PB and NPB rounds so that it would make the jobs of the officials who are not specialists easier. Then the question of where to get such dummy rounds from came up. Need to be able to follow up on my advise..

Could be imported from anywhere , in my understanding Dummy Rounds are not prohibited but can't say much about indian laws.

I rather have " the specialists "practice with " real ammo " if doable and not rely upon multiple types of ammo on them. Just you wouldn't be able to differentiate, defend and certainly be distracted under stress . Still your situation can be different than just punching key boards , my 2 cnts - Haji

Naga,
I'm intrigued, What's the scoop with those photos?
They seem to be pieces of wood carved to look like weapons.
