Thieves nabbed after pocket-dialing 911, discussing what they stole, where to fence it

Investigators say the duo didn't realize one of them had accidentally pocket-dialed 911. A dispatcher listened in for nearly an hour as they discussed what they had stolen and where they might sell it. Police say they even described their vehicle.

technology has reached such levels that,it has been easier to investigate thefts easily.
i wonder what would have happened in a indian scenario?

In India the dispatcher will hang up and go back to sleep or go after the thieves and get his cut

Overheard in Interpol conference:

American Cop: Guys, our intelligence is so effective that we get to know about a crime within 24 hrs after it is committed.
British Cop: Bloody slow, old chap, we get to know within 12 hours.
Russian: We haff so big countriy, still we get to know within 4 hours.
Indian: You people are so advanced, still we are ahead of you - we get to know at least 24 hours BEFORE the crime.
