Katanji, you are so lucky to find spare time and indulge in things you love to do.

PM me your address. I'll send you the local stuff that you get in my area! It's a brand called 'Fudeda', whatever that means, but they are quite sturdy.
BTW, the bottom one in the second picture is a grafting knife. Ask a agriculturist/ horticulturist!

Moin, these knives are really cute, and very "safe" to carry since they seem to pose no threat what-so-ever. The ones with photos on the handles are lovely. How are they to use? I am sure they are great slicers. Thanks for sharing the photos. Keep 'em coming.
[UPDATE] If there is rust on the blade, sand it off with a 1000 grit paper, and then coat the blade with a thin layer of mineral/machine oil. Alternately, use them to cut fruit after cleaning, and the fruit acids will form a layer on the blade that deters rust.

Amar, found the graphics on the handle really cute, so picked up a few at INR 35 each from a street shop selling hardware in Chor Bazaar in Mumbai. Yes have a few rolls of 1200 grit polish paper that I use on the blades and brass polish for the handles and then a final coat of Parachute Coconut Oil. Will get them into shape and put a nice edge on them once have some free time on my hands. Did'nt know about the fruit acid, is'nt acid corrosive on steel surface ?
Best Regards
Moin,
