new small kirpan ordered

Post by englishtown » Tue Dec 06, 2011 7:59 pm

i guys

My wife was searching thru fashion and you website for her fashion accessories. My eyes fell on Victorinox knives category, suddenly, i felt great curiousity to open it, And believe me there I fell in love with a small kirpan by Victorinox, which most of sikhs carry. with 4 inch blade, then what I ordered it immidiately, now I'm waiting for the small beautiful knife to arrive thru courier.

I don't know why My wife gets so angry when ever I order a knife online.

But i'm really anxious to get that small beauty for my collection.

I already have a Muela SS 5.5 inch blade, which I ordered thru basecamp.in

thanks to IFG members who helped me a lot to get this valuable knowledge.

I have that small Kirpan. Good for occassional use, hard use & Blade weathers fast.
Overall Im not satisfied with the blade quality, looses edge pretty quickly.

In my experience, Victorinox makes good EDC (every day carry) all-in-one knives, but for hard use, you got to look somewhere else. However, a SAK (swiss army knife) is legal in most places as a "multi tool", where a normal knife may not be (for eg., university campus). They never disclose the steel, which makes me doubt the quality as well. I think its the same case with their kirpan.

Wonderful Englishtwon, heartiest congratulations. What is the standard/Classic form of the Kripan ? I've seen a few for sale around the Golden Temple. Would be interseting to see what the real deal looks like.

Best Regards
Moin.
