Mayank,

The Tasco, especially if it is Chinese made, will not give you good service on your rifle. The important factors are the mounts and rings, not the scope itself. I presume you are going to fit this on the 11mm rail on the rifle (post 2010 models).

My suggestion to you is as follows:

1. Get good quality mounts(21mm) and rings, preferably Warne for the Sauer 202, and mount them on the tapped points on the action.
2. Get a better made scope, preferably an American of European manufactured one that will hold up to the recoil of the rifle.
3. Do not affix a scope of objective diameter more than 40mm and an overall length of 13 inches. Anything above that will foul with the rear sights and a greater length will not give you good eye relief. The 11mm rail on the action is for diopter sights. Its another matter that the IOF 'designers' have forgotten to modify the front at the muzzle.

Importantly read the IOF .30-06 thread thoroughly. all this information is already available on it.

As concerns laser bore sighters, you could try some dealers if any could be available with them. However, bear in mind that they are not the final word on zeroing. You will still have to adjust parallax.

In stead of throwing money on a laser boresighter which you will probably use only once; just mount the rifle on a stable rest (you can use sandbags etc. for this), remove the bolt and look through the bore to get a rough zero. Should put you on paper on the first shot, then use the windage & elevation adjustments to dial the scope in.

+1 to Katana's suggestions w.r.t getting better quality equipment.

Cheers!

Best would be to ask someone to get it for you. Select a universal one so that you could use it on different bores. I believe the ones made by Laserlyte are quite popular.

or use two piece of string, one coming out of the centre of the bore to the point in the target, and align other one from the scope centre to the same point as the firest one and adjust scope to meet in the centre of the two strings.

the above is classified experimental stage thus the outcome can not be 100% cert

Not sure about its availability in shops. But keep an eye open on our buy sell section
