Re: arms act on no of cartridges
Arms Act 1959 says nothing about the number of cartridges on a license. It has been left to the discretion of licensing authority to decide about the number of cartridges in the rules called Arms Rules 1962 which were created to implement Arms Act 1959. The usual reason given to get the quota of cartridges increased is target practice. The arms license related fees etc. are also mentioned in Arms Rules 1962.

No fees are mentioned in Arms Act 1959. Fees payable for licences are mentioned in Schedule IV of Arms Rules 1962. Yes I was also not able to find fees for additional cartridges in Schedule IV of Arms Rules 1962. BTW what is the problem you are facing? Is the licensing authority asking for some high amount of fees?
