Hi friends
can cartridges like LG(000) or SG be imported(carried in baggage) into India ??

LG and SG are prohibited ammunition. Prohibited by some notification.

Hi sir,
my friend will be travelling back from Canada and he have 200 cartridges allowed on his license so can he bring 200 cartridges(1 no.) in his baggage?

Yes he can bring in no. 1 cartridges, slugs etc. but no LG or SG. Fifty cartridges are allowed duty free. For one hundred and fifty cartridges, confirm this from customs or at least from someone who has brought cartridges along with him in excess of fifty cartridges. If you refer this http://www.cbec.gov.in/travellers.htm it says that import of cartridges in excess of 50 is prohibited and also says that free allowance is not applicable to cartridges of fire arms exceeding 50.
