My New 30.06/2011

Post by Armour » Thu Nov 17, 2011 9:51 pm

Hi All,
My new IOF Mod 2011 30.06 Sporting Rifle with its Bushnell Scope.
Haven't found enough ammo yet to start zeroing the open sight or the scope.
Once the ammo is in I would request tutorials from all experienced members on how to bore sight & zero the graticule.
Till then the forum is open for all your comments. Hope I will be able to justice to this prized beauty of mine.

Regards

Armour,

Hearty congratulations. That rifle almost looks as good as a Sauer 202. Also the wood is the best I have seen on an IOF rifle so far.Is it factory original?

If you search, there are a couple of very helpful threads by Mack The Knife and Tim on how to zero a rifle.

Enjoy shooting your proud possession.

Best-
Vikram

Yes its factory original..just by chance. Scrutinized 20 odd 30.06s/2011 meant for showcase/custom deliveries across the country before finding this superior quality & tone in original walnut wood. Believe me it was then I came to know that there are customised deliveries too being done for VIPs by IOF, and the quality of everything including workmanship in these pieces is flawless & the best. Except for the 'magazine & its spring problem' which goes mostly unnoticed by even these VIPs. Bolt operation is somewhat smooth considering it being an IOF genre.
